Go Beyond the Mind and Let Your Breath Do the Healing
Breathwork is a guided practice that uses conscious breathing to release stress, tension and emotions your body has been holding. I’m a certified breathwork teacher based in San Francisco. Conscious connected breathwork is my specialty, and I also use other breathwork techniques within coaching. I offer one-on-one, couples and group sessions of 60 to 90 minutes. It pairs well with hypnotherapy and integrative coaching. Contact me to book.
Breathwork is an act of self-love. It gives you space to release what you’ve been holding and step into something new.
With circular, conscious breathing, you can reach and release emotions, tension and energy that may have been stored for years. Your body does most of the work. Every session is different. Some people feel a deep release, and others find a clarity they never expected. Many describe it as one of the most unique experiences of their lives.

What Is Conscious Connected Breathwork?
Conscious connected breathing, also called circular breathing, means breathing in a steady rhythm without pausing between the inhale and the exhale. With guidance, this rhythm can bring up emotions, sensations and insights that are hard to reach by thinking alone. Conscious connected breathwork is my specialty and the focus of my dedicated breathwork sessions.
Other Breathwork Techniques I Use in Coaching
Not every moment calls for an active, intense breathing session. Within my coaching and hypnotherapy work, I draw on several breathwork modalities and choose them based on what you need at the time.
Some breath practices help calm and settle your nervous system. Others help you reconnect with your body, release tension or prepare for deeper subconscious work. You don’t need to know which one is right for you. I’ll guide you, and we’ll adjust as we go.
If you’d like breathwork as part of a longer process, you can read more about integrative coaching.
How Breathwork Supports You
Breathwork can create a real shift in how you feel. It can help you:
- Release built-up stress and emotions you haven’t had space to process
- Find more clarity and insight
- Come back into your body and feel grounded, alive and present
- Calm and regulate your nervous system
- Feel energy return, and make room for healing
Breathwork for Stress, Anxiety and Nervous System Regulation
When you’ve been under stress for a long time, your body can stay braced even when you’re safe. You might notice it in your breathing, which becomes shallow or held without you realizing.
Conscious connected breathwork gives your nervous system a different experience. As you breathe through whatever comes up, tension and emotion can move through you instead of staying stuck. Many people leave a session feeling calmer, lighter and more grounded.
Breathwork is also one of the somatic tools I bring into integrative coaching and hypnotherapy, so the calm you find on the mat can become part of your everyday life.
What to Expect in a Breathwork Session
Each session lasts about 60 to 90 minutes and has three parts.
Check-In
We start with a short conversation. I explain how circular, conscious breathing works and what you might experience, so you feel clear, safe and supported before we begin.
Active Breathwork
I guide you into the rhythm of connected breathing. Emotions, sensations and insights may come up on their own. Many people describe a sense of release and clarity, almost like coming home to themselves. You’re supported the whole way through.
Rest and Integration
At the end we slow down. You have time to rest, process and reflect, so your body and mind can take in the experience and you leave feeling grounded and clear.

Lorena, Your Breathwork Facilitator in San Francisco
Hi! I’m a certified Breathwork teacher, trained in Conscious Connected Breathing, also known as Circular Breathing. It’s my specialty, and I also bring a range of other breathwork techniques into my coaching practice, depending on what each client needs.
My role is to guide you with presence, care and attention. In each session I hold a space where you can let go, feel supported and trust your own process. I stay tuned in to your rhythm, energy and emotional state, so you feel safe and grounded with whatever comes up.
For me, breathwork is a personal journey of release and reconnection more than a technique. With gentle guidance and respect for your body’s natural intelligence, I help you open up to more clarity, calm and connection with yourself. I also bring breathwork into my past life therapy and coaching work.

Couples Sessions
Breathing together gives couples a chance to release, reconnect and reach new levels of intimacy and understanding.
Group Sessions
In a group, you share in the energy of everyone in the room. Many people find this brings a sense of connection and belonging that makes the practice even richer.

Breathwork FAQs
Do I need any experience?
No. You don’t need to know anything beforehand. An open heart and a willingness to explore are enough.
What might I feel during breathwork?
People often notice physical sensations, emotional release or a clarity that feels like a weight has lifted. Every session is different, and your body leads the way.
Is breathwork safe?
Breathwork can feel intense, and it’s a safe practice for most people. You’re in control and supported throughout. If you’re pregnant or have a heart condition, epilepsy, high blood pressure or another medical condition, please let me know beforehand and check with your doctor.
How long is a breathwork session?
Most sessions last 60 to 90 minutes, including the check-in, the active breathing and time for integration.
How many breathwork sessions will I need?
Some people feel a big shift after one session. Others come back regularly for deeper release and integration. It depends on what you need.
What should I bring or wear?
Wear comfortable clothes you can relax in. Please bring a mat and a blanket so you’re comfortable during the session.
Can breathwork help with anxiety?
Many people find that breathwork helps them release built-up stress and feel calmer and more grounded. It isn’t a replacement for medical or mental health care, and it can be a helpful support alongside it.
What's the difference between breathwork and meditation?
Meditation usually asks you to observe your breath as it is. In conscious connected breathwork, you actively breathe in a continuous rhythm, which tends to bring emotions and sensations to the surface so they can be released.
